Task force, State Police aim to stop fentanyl flow
Agents with State Police will be joining the Southwest Virginia Regional Task Force to try and stop the flow of fentanyl into local communities.
The effort coincides with the One Pill Can Kill campaign created by the Attorney General. It’s also tied in to Governor Youngkin’s executive order that strengthens local and state interdiction due to the fentanyl crisis.
More than 2,800 counterfeit pills has been seized by Southwest officers. That adds up to a street value of more than $98,000.
