One injured, one in custody after St. Paul shooting

Some of the details of a Wednesday night shooting near the Wise County, Dickenson County border were included in a Sheriff’s Office report.

One person was found shot and injured at property in the 5700 block of Creek Hill Road in St. Paul and the individual who shot the weapon was placed in custody.

The victim was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital. More details are expected. Police said there is not an active threat to the public.
