Demolition begins on partially collapsed hotel in Bristol TN

About three years ago, a structure slated to be a Holiday Inn hotel along the Volunteer Parkway in Bristol, Tennessee, partially collapsed. Demolition has started after litigation from the city spurred a settlement agreement with the developer, Tenneva, LLC. Contractors will have six months under the agreement to complete the process. Weather related allowances are built into that time frame. Once demolition is complete, Tenneva will either commence rebuilding the hotel or remove all remaining structural materials down to the first-floor slab.
