More details released in St. Paul shooting
On Thursday, Wise and Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 5700 block of Creek Hill Road in St. Paul following a report of a shooting incident. An individual, who was the focus of a child sex crime investigation had entered a residence where he had been temporarily barred. A family member attempted to escort him from the property and an altercation took place. Two shots were fired, and one individual involved was transported by helicopter for treatment of serious injuries. After an initial investigation, Sheriff Grant Kilgore and Commonwealth’s Attorney Brett Hall agreed that no charges should be taken at this time but is still actively investigating this incident. Loren Frost of St. Paul, Virginia, has been charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a minor, two counts of sodomy, and one count of aggravated sexual battery.
