Shooting reported on former V.I. campus in Bristol Va.
The Bristol Virginia Police Department is investigating an alleged shooting that took place Friday morning on the former Virginia Intermont College’s campus. Police said officers responded to the former college campus at just after 6 a.m. amid reports of gunshots. Officers located a male with a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen, and he was airlifted to the Johnson City Medical Center.
Three men were seen leaving the VI property around the time of the shooting and are believed to be persons of interest. The department said the men were reported as being “two white males and one light skinned black male,” and have yet to be located. Officials said the investigation into the shooting continues and anyone with information on the incident or the three persons of interest are urged to Bristol Virginia Police.
