Bristol TN School Board discuss new policies at meeting
The Bristol, Tennessee School Board met Monday to discuss a list of policies that could go into place. The first deals with artificial intelligence, or AI, in the classroom. A topic regularly discussed among schools and officials. While the policy doesn’t completely restrict the use of AI, it does set guidelines for its use in the classroom, instructing students about when, where, and how to use AI. Another policy discussed at the meeting focused on library books and setting the framework for how to regulate what books are available to students. The policies need to pass on two readings before being put into place. The second readings will take place at the board meeting in August.
