Blue Ridge Outdoors “Top Adventure Towns” voting includes 3 localities
The Blue Ridge Outdoors team has nominated three regional places for its Top Adventure Towns contest. There are four categories: tiny, small, medium and large towns. Criteria for the towns include access to outdoor adventure including mountain biking, whitewater areas and climbing and hiking destinations. Towns in Tennessee and Virginia that entered the second round of the competition Monday are Damascus VA for in the Tiny Adventure Town category, Abingdon for Small town and Bristol VA/TN for Medium town. Those interested in voting for their favorite adventure towns can go to the Blue Ridge Outdoors website and search for “top towns”. Voting is open until Sunday. The next round of the Blue Ridge Outdoors Top Adventure Towns contest will begin on Aug. 26. and close on Aug. 31. Blue Ridge Outdoors will feature the four winners online in its November magazine.
