WCSO: Woman charged with bringing drugs into jail
Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies have charged 34 year old Whitney Tamera Whitson with Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution and Manufacture/Deliver/Sell/Possession of Methamphetamine. A report from the Sheriff’s Office says on August 22nd, Deputies made contact with Whitson on Dry Creek Road. A records check confirmed she was wanted for Failure to Pay Child Support as well as a warrant for Failure to Appear. Whitson was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and once in booking, staff discovered two baggies hidden inside her clothing, one containing a crystal-like substance consistent with methamphetamine along with a second clear baggie containing unmarked pills and a white powder. A third baggie was discovered inside Whitson’s body. That baggie contained 17.9 grams of methamphetamine. Whitson is scheduled for a court hearing on August 26
