Bristol TN advances possible property tax increase
Bristol, Tennessee City Council voted Tuesday on the first reading to pass a property tax increase. According to Bristol, Tennessee Mayor Vince Turner, it passed on a three to two vote, with Mayor Turner one of two members who voted no. City leaders are proposing an 18 cent increase per $100 of assessed property value. That would make the new rate $2.17 up from $1.99 per $100 dollars. A final vote on the issue will take place next Tuesday.
