Free well water test kits available now in Greene County

Greene County residents who need to test the quality of their well water after flooding from Helene, can pick up testing kits for free. The Greene County Office of Emergency Management said Tuesday that free well water test kits have arrived at the Green County Health Department. Greene County residents can pick the kits up from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the health department through Friday. Anyone picking up a kit should enter the main entrance on W Church St in Greeneville and tell the service desk that they need one of the kits. Officials remind residents that well water should be flushed and disinfected after a flood before being consumed or used.
