VA Governor Youngkin announces new Artificial Intelligence Task Force

Governor Glenn Youngkin announced the creation of Virginia’s new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force on Wednesday. This task force will include 10 of “the most prominent AI experts in Virginia,” according to a release from the Governors office. The AI Task Force was called for under an executive order that Youngkin issued in January. The AI Task Force will meet at least 2 times per year and will make recommendations to both Virginia’s executive and legislative branches on AI and will also involve evaluating both existing and proposed AI uses by state agencies.
