TDOT says more routes now opened to traffic

Road cleanup and repairs are still in process in East TN, over a month since Helene struck the region. An update from TDOT’s Mark Nagi said that they expect to have one lane open in each direction on I-26 in Unicoi County sometime this week, however, wide loads will not be permitted. Additional secondary routes have now opened to traffic. In Carter County, state route 361 is open in both directions. In Johnson County, both directions are opened on state route 133 and in Greene County, the Nolichucky River Bridge is opened on state routes 340 and 350.
