UPDATE: Johnson City mom accused of killing kids out of hospital and in jail

The Johnson City mother accused of killing her two children was formely arrested and charged after her discharge from a local hospital late Thursday.

A city police report said Jessica Chandler, 28, is now held in jail and is facing murder, child abuse, and assault charges.

A published report said the father of the children, ages 1 and 4, discovered the bodies at the home on Omaha Drive.

Police said Chandler had self-inflicted cuts on her arms and legs. She had also left three written notes behind containing a murder confession.
