Elizabethton Christmas Parade has new route after Helene damage

Due to the closure of the Broad Street Bridge, Main Street Elizabethton has made changes to this year’s Christmas Parade route. Road closures on the usual parade route are not possible now that downtown serves as the main thoroughfare after damage from Helene. The amended route will take place on W G St. from Bemberg Rd. to S Roan St. with roads along the route closing at 5:45 PM.  The Elizabethton Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 14, at 6 PM. Those interested in participating can register online at MainStreetElizabethton.Com The deadline to register is December 7 or until the 100-participant capacity is for this year’s parade is reached.
