Semi Truck crash closes portion of Eastbound I-26 in Unicoi County

A portion of Interstate 26 in Erwin was closed due to an early morning tractor-trailer crash on Wednesday. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol a semi-truck pulling a tanker trailer filled with milk hit a concrete barrier just after 3 a.m. with the truck overturning and blocking both lanes of the interstate. The driver was uninjured in the crash and no other vehicles were involved. Traffic began returning to normal around 9 a.m.
