Ground broken on new Carter County Higher Education Center
Leaders from across Northeast Tennessee broke ground today for the $40 million Carter County Higher Education Center. The center is scheduled to be constructed in place of the Northeast Tennessee Elizabethton campus. When its completed, it’ll bring together two of the regions’ largest educators. Northeast State Community College and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Elizabethton. The project is expected to be completed and ready for students by the fall of 2026.
