AppCAA looking for tax prep volunteers

The Appalachian Community Action Agency (AppCAA) is issuing a call for volunteers for its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. The program provides people with free federal and state tax preparation services and the organization says no experience is needed to volunteer. During last years tax season, over 800 volunteers across Virginia filed almost 20,000 federal tax returns and put in over 32,000 hours of service to communities around the Commonwealth.
