Donations needed to help in recovery for Buchanan County residents

Emergency management officials in Buchanan County, Virginia are in need of several items to help residents recover following weekend flooding.
The donations can include sealed bottled water, non-perishable food items, and cleaning and sanitation supplies. The items can be dropped off at the Prater Fire & Rescue Department at 1028 Killdeer Lane in Grundy.
The rescue center is also serving as a point of distribution for residents who need food and water. The facility will be open daily from 7 am to 7 pm.
