Juvenile Arrested in Drive By Shooting Case

An unnamed 17 year old male has been arrested and charged in the drive-by shooting that occurred late Friday, March 30 on Deerfield Lane. According to Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman, a mobile home sustained damage from four gun shots fired into the residence from a large caliber handgun. At least four people were inside the home at the time of the incident. Fortunately none were harmed. Charges against the juvenile include shooting into and occupied dwelling and felony threats by electronic device. The juvenile is being in the Highlands Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
