Kingsport Man Charged With Auto Theft And Burglary Of Jewelry, Cash, And Guns

A Kingsport man already in custody has now been charged in connection with a stolen truck and a burglary that recently occurred in Scott County Virginia. Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 22 year old Jared Light after receiving a call that a stolen truck might be in the area. Deputies located the truck and found Light and another male suspect in the truck. The two men fled the scene and the truck was recovered. A short time later a report of a burglary on Wadlow Gap Road where jewelry, cash and numerous guns had been stolen occurred. Evidence gathered at the scene link Jared Light to the stolen vehicle as well as the stolen items. Light is currently in Tennessee on unrelated charges and will be extradited back to Virginia later…The second male suspect has been identified and charges are pending.
