Major Distributor Of Meth From Georgia To Tennessee And Virginia Arrested In Undercover Drug Sting
A major distributor of Methamphetamine from Atlanta Georgia to Tennessee and Virginia has been arrested along with two others after an undercover drug sting operation in Scott County Virginia. Investigators learned that 22 year old Calvin Lee Smith of Atlanta would be occupying a white Toyota Camry and would be delivering 28 grams of meth to a subject at a parking lot in Weber City on Highway 23. A traffic stop was conducted after authorities witnessed a drug exchange between the Smith, and an undercover informant. A search turned up five grams of meth and the money exchanged for the 28 grams of meth. Police also arrested 48 year old Tonya Hammonds and 56 year old Robert B.Sams, Jr both of Kingsport. Smith, Hammonds and Sams are each charged with selling, giving, or distributing more than ten grams of methamphetamine and are being held in the Duffield Regional Jail.
