HCSO: Man Led Deputies on Pursuit with Two Juveniles as Passengers in Vehicle
A Bulls Gap man is in jail after police say he initiated a dangerous pursuit with two juveniles in the vehicle.
Patrick Parrigan, 19, is facing numerous charges including reckless driving and two counts of child reckless endangerment. The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office says they attempted to pull over Parrigan’s vehicle that only had one working headlight, when he sped off from a Family Dollar parking lot. A report said during the pursuit, Parrigan was traveling at speeds of 80 mph in a 30 mph zone, as well as traveling a corner on the wrong side of the road, and nearly flipping his vehicle when traveling over railroad tracks. He eventually stopped, and once officers made the arrest, they found two passengers, one that was 4-years old and another passenger that was 17-years old.
Parrigan is in jail, awaiting a court appearance scheduled for next Monday.
