Washington County Tennessee Man Sets Wife On Fire…Woman Receives Serious Burns
A Washington County Tennessee man is arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder after he was indicted for allegedly setting his wife on fire with rubbing alcohol resulting in serious injuries. A press release from the sheriff’s department says 35 year old Todd Darrell Briggs was indicted after an investigation revealed during an altercation with his wife he doused rubbing alcohol on the bedroom floor and also on his wife, then lit the alcohol resulting in second and third degree burns to the woman’s head, arms and torso areas. In addition to the attempted murder charge, Briggs is also charged with aggravated assault, and aggravated arson. He has a court date set for December 2 at nine a.m.
