Report: Home prices in Tri Cities jump nearly 10 percent
A recent survey of the Tennessee housing market shows the biggest jump in house prices in the state is in the Tri Cities market.
The housing report for the second quarter of 2019 compiled by Middle Tennessee State University’s Business and Economic Research Center says house prices in the Bristol, Johnson City and Kingsport areas increased by nearly 10 percent.
The report says the state’s construction indicators gave a mixed bag with statewide construction permits trending down but foreclosures in Tennessee are at their lowest rate in two decades.
