NEW: Police identify suspect in Oct. 2 murder in Greeneville

Greeneville authorities have obtained warrants for a suspect in an Oct 2 murder.

Stanley Eric Mossburg, 35, is charged with the first degree murder of Christopher Shortt earlier this month, according to a report issued by the Greeneville PD. The agency said they have been working with the TBI and the Spartanburg County, South Carolina Sheriff’s Office in identifying Mossburg as the suspected killer. Investigators believe that Mossburg has fled Tennessee and is considered armed and dangerous.

Shortt’s body was found near the Celebrity Coin Laundry location off East Andrew Johnson Highway.
