State Apprenticeship Programs To Receive Federal Grant For Expansion
As Tennessee employers continue to face obstacles attracting and retaining workers with in demand skills, an expansion of public-private apprenticeship programs are expected to take place across the volunteer state thanks to a nearly one and a half million dollar, three year grant. A key strategy will be to engage Tennessee Board of Regents institutions in forming group apprenticeships models. The approach will encourage small and medium sized companies to partner in apprenticeship programs. The grant originates from the U.S. Department of Labor.
