Sexual Assault Protection Act Introduced By Congressman Griffith
Southwest Virginia Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith is introducing the Sexual Assault Victims Protection Act. The bill will establish a task force to identify barriers now blocking access to professional assistance, help states improve their ability to gather evidence, and require the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to publicize resources and best practices for responding to sexual assault. Griffith says by improving the ability to respond to these crimes, more support can be offered to those who suffer from sexual assault.
