Greene County investigators asking for help in church arson case

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department hopes you can help them catch an arsonist.

Investigators were notified by officials at Gethsemane Methodist Church that one of the crosses attached at the front entrance had been set on fire causing damages to one of the doors and some cosmetic damage to the building.

The church is located on South Waterfork Road in the Greystone community and police have determined that fire occurred sometime between Sunday and Tuesday. Detectives will accept anonymous tips in the case.
