Ballad Health ranks in top 30 on Forbes 2020 list of best employers for diversity
Ballad Health has been named one of the top 30 best employers for diversity and inclusion in the country according to Forbes.
The health care company said on Friday, it ranked 29th on the list that included more than 500 companies with at least 1,000 employees, as well as additionally ranking at the top of any employer in Tennessee and Virginia, and ranked fifth in the nation of employers in the healthcare and social industry.
“We’re so proud to be recognized among the best in the country for diversity and inclusion. This is just another example showing Ballad Health is a great place to work, and the Appalachian Highlands is a great place to live,” Ballad Health President and CEO Alan Levine said.
Ballad offers a Diversity and Inclusion program, as well as other initiatives like a program to develop translated documents for official use, and an executive diversity and leadership team driven to guide and advocate for awareness, education, and possible solutions to diversity and inclusion challenges.
Last year, Forbes named Johnson City Medical Center the ninth best employer in the state of Tennessee as part of its annual listing of best employers by state.
