Brother of county Sheriff pleads guilty to distribution of controlled substance

According to Commonwealth Attorney Chuck Slemp, the brother of the Carter County Sheriff pleaded guilty Wednesday in a Wise County Courtroom. 57-year old Danny Lunceford entered the felony guilty pleas of distribution of a controlled substance after resigning approximately four months ago from the Carter County Sheriff’s Office. Lunceford received a sentence of eight years’ probation and has 180 days of community service which will consist of painting, mowing, and cleaning the Wise County Animal shelter, according to Slemp.
