Staff member of TN Senator Lamar Alexander tests positive for COVID-19
Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander is self-quarantining after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
Alexander confirmed the news Sunday in a statement, saying the staff member is at home and doing well, while Alexander tested negative on Thursday and is showing no symptoms.
Out of an abundance of caution, Alexander says he will not return to Washington D.C., and will work remotely from home.
“The senator will be working remotely and will chair the Senate health committee hearing on Tuesday morning by videoconference where the witnesses will be Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Robert Redfield, Dr. Brett Giroir, and Dr. Stephen Hahn.”
