Emergency Preparedness Drill To Be Held At Tri Cities Aiport
It will be a limited, but federally mandated emergency preparedness test at Tri Cities Airport beginning Wednesday morning. The drill will test the airport’s emergency operation plan, train personnel in emergency management duties and coordinate the efforts of local emergency service agenices responding to an aircraft accident or incident. Due to COVID-19, the exercise which begins at ten AM is limited to help prevent the spread of the Cornoavirus. There will also be a limited number of simulated victims in place for responders to assess. Tri-Cities Airport responders will be working with local mutual aid agencies to extinguish a bus fire to simulate an actual aircraft fire. The drill concludes at twelve noon Wednesday.
