Greeneville Duo Led Police On Reckless, High Speed Pursuit…Then Crash Into House
A Greeneville man and woman are jailed after the female driver led police on a high speed, reckless pursuit, that ended when the driver crashes into a house. According to Greeneville Police, Chelsea L. Cutshaw pulled in front of the officer on patrol, who then initiated a traffic stop. Cutshaw sped away at a high rate of speed, when suspect and passenger, Matthew McNutt began throwing items from the vehicle, including several saws. Cutshaw continue her out of control escape plan but left the right side of the roadway, crossing back onto the road and leaving it once again, before hitting several railroad ties and then crashing into a house. Cutshaw and McNutt then fled the vehicle on foot but were apprehended a short distance from the crash. Cutshaw is charged with two counts of Reckless Endangerment and Evading arrest, while McNutt is charged with Aggravated Assault and Evading Arrest.
