VDOT: Portion of US Route 11 in Marion to be closed to clean-up tractor-trailer crash

A portion of a highway in Marion will be closed beginning at 9 pm tonight to clean up the remnants of an 18-wheeler crash.

A report from the Virginia Department of Transportation says US Route 11 between exits 47 and 50 will be blocked off to traffic while crews remove the rig and the contents of its trailer.

VDOT gave an estimate of 8 to 10 hours to complete the job and cautioned drivers to keep a lookout for workers in the area.
