Tennessee Lottery Reaches More Than Five Billion Dollars in Education Funds
Propelled by the success of Tennessee only draw style and instant games this year, the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation has raised more than five billion dollars for education in the Volunteer state since 2004. The lottery closed out 2020 with its best quarter since inception, bringing in 118 million 263 thousand dollars. For the year, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Tennessee’s lottery recorded its highest gross total of one point 84 billion dollars, generating a total of more than 438 million dollars for education in Tennessee, including more than 17 million dollars for after school programs.
