Governor: More funding become available to help Tennessee localities with COVID costs
More than $300 million is available to Tennessee counties and cities after the governor’s Financial Stimulus Accountability Group announced an additional $115 million in virus relief funds being made available to those groups.
A report from Governor Bill Lee’s office says some of those dollars can be maximized to help localities with expenses incurred during the virus pandemic, expand lab capacity to administer more COVID testing, and technology grants to help local schools reopen learning opportunities including purchasing laptops and wifi accessories for students.
