Elementary/Middle School in Buchanan County to close Tuesday after a staff member tests positive for COVID-19

A staff member of the Buchanan County, VA school district has tested positive for COVID-19.

A Facebook post from the school system says the staff member works at Twin Valley Elementary/Middle School and the health department is now investigating the case for possible exposure to other staff members. The area where the staff member worked is being deep cleaned, and the school itself will close Tuesday for cleaning before reopening Wednesday.

Summer food deliveries at Twin Valley will not happen from July 28-31, but will resume beginning August 3rd.
