NEW: Prosecutors to present new matter to grand jury next month in case of Evelyn Boswell
Sullivan County District Attorney Barry Staubus says the state is set to present another matter to the grand jury in the case of Megan Boswell.
Staubus said during a Friday morning court hearing that the new matter would be presented during a grand jury meeting on Aug. 19. Boswell has been incarcerated since February 25, and was indicted in May on 11 counts of false reports on accusations she made misleading statements to investigators over a five day period as local and state authorities searched for her daughter, 15-month old Evelyn Boswell, who’s body was found in March on a family member’s property.
She was reported missing on Feb. 18, but had reportedly not been seen since last December.
Megan’s next appearance is scheduled for Aug. 28.
