Hamblen Co. issues mask mandate, takes effect Tuesday

Hamblen County is joining several other counties in East TN with a mask wearing requirement set to take effect Tuesday.

Mayor Bill Brittain issued a news release Sunday, stating the mandate would start Aug. 4 to try and slow down the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the county.

Those exempt from the order include children under 12, those with underlying health conditions, and in places of worship. The full executive order can be found below:
