UVA Wise Delays Start Of School Year

Students who attend the University of Virginia, College at Wise will now report to classes beginning August 26 after school officials made the difficult decision to delay the start of classes due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The revised start will accommodate enhanced protocols for reopening, including student testing prior to the return to campus. UVA Wise also announced all students will receive at home test kits prior to their return to campus.

The testing will allow the College to gauge infection rates to enable future decision making.
