Absentee ballot requests for the Nov. election opens today in TN
Tennessee voters wishing to cast their vote absentee by mail for the November election can now request ballots.
A judge ruled in June to expand absentee voting to all eligible voters because of the coronavirus pandemic, but that ruling is currently under review by the TN Supreme Court after the state appealed the voting expansion.
Absentee voting is usually only reserved for reasons such as for those 60 and older or those that are ill. The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 5, while the deadline to request an absentee ballot is Oct. 27.
In-person early voting starts Oct. 14.
