Greeneville City Schools to divert in-person classes to online for PreK-K students
Pre-K and Kindergarten students who attend Greeneville City Schools are having the start of their academic year shifted online.
An update Thursday morning from school officials say this move to change course from having those students attend in-person was due to the increased community spread of COVID-19. Pre-K and Kindergarten students were scheduled to attend classes in a staggered schedule the week of Aug. 7-14, and each child’s teacher will contact their families with more information.
All Greeneville City School students will now start the academic year online, with 1st-12th grade students in a virtual setting through at least Aug. 21.
