NASCAR/ARCA to return to BMS for four race weekend Sept. 17-19
NASCAR has released the dates for the remaining part of its 2020 schedule, which will see a four-race weekend on the high banks of Bristol in Sept.
The 2020 Cup Series playoffs will remain in place as originally planned, with the start of the final 10 races beginning on Labor Day weekend in Darlington. After concluding a four-race weekend in Richmond, racing will begin in Thunder Valley. Action on the track begins Thursday, Sept. 17, with a nighttime doubleheader starting with the Truck Series playoff opener at 7:30 p.m, followed by the ARCA Series event at 9:30 p.m.
The Xfinity Series will take to Bristol on Friday evening with the drop of the green flag coming at 7 p.m.
The conclusion of racing will take place Saturday night with the Cup Series event, slated for a 7:30 p.m start time.
In its news release about the remaining 2020 schedule, NASCAR said, “NASCAR’s modified event procedures and protocols have been finalized in accordance with public health officials, medical experts and local, state and federal officials. NASCAR will determine if fans are allowed entrance to NASCAR Cup Series races on a market-by-market basis, in accordance with local and state guidelines.”
