Lee County Investigation Continues After One Man Shot During Fight.

Investigators in Lee County, Virginia continue their probe into a fight between two adult male family members, resulting in one of the men receiving a a serious gunshot wound. Virginia State Police say the shooting occurred after police made two previous calls to the 100 block of Sugar Maple Drive In Jonesville in reference to a fight. One of the men was knocked unconscious during the confrontation. At that point a 29 year old male armed with a handgun allegedly shot the 53 year old man, armed with an axe. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious , but non life threatening injuries. The 29 year old was located at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The names of the two men have not been released as the investigation is ongoing.
