Gov. Lee, Education Commissioner Schwinn adding education support for schools and families for the 2020-21 academic year
TN Gov. Bill Lee and Commissioner of Education Penny Schwinn have announced additional education support for families, teachers, and districts for the academic year.
One of three areas of support includes a new dashboard updated daily which will provide information on a school’s opening status.
Another area of support is a child wellbeing check toolkit, created to ensure the needs of children in the state are met during and after extended periods away from school as well as empowering local communities to meaningfully engage in ways that supports children.
The final of three means of support announced was an online platform created called Schoolnet, which will allow schools and teachers to create tasks and assessments for students while providing immediate data to help inform instruction.
