Richmond Sees Nearly 4 Million Dollars In Fire Damages During Summer Protests
Richmond Virginia emergency officials say the city saw almost four million dollars in fire damages during the initial days of unrest following the death of George Floyd. The headquarters of the United Daughters of the Confederacy sustained the greatest structural damage at one and a quarter million dollars according to fire department estimates. Richmond fire crews responded to 48 fires between May 29 and June 15 which resulted in three point nine million dollars in damages to city property.
