Dickenson County Schools: New inclement weather policy adopted, virtual learning day an option during snow day
The Dickenson County, Va School Board is revamping its inclement weather policy that could see some snow days used as virtual learning days.
Changes adopted by the school board earlier this week includes a three color coded weather related schedule in the case of snow. Under a code green schedule, schools would be closed but a virtual learning day would take place from 10 a.m-3 p.m.

A code yellow and code red schedule would see schools closed for students and teachers with no virtual learning. The only difference in the two different schedules would be under a code red schedule, only essential personnel would be on call or report in as needed.
