NEW: Sunbelt showdown between App State, Louisiana postponed due to virus cases in Mountaineers’ program

Appalachian State has postponed next week’s home conference game with Louisiana due to positive virus cases and contact tracing within the Mountaineers’ football program.

App State Chancellor Shari Everts said the move was made out of an abundance of caution and says the game will be rescheduled for Dec. 4 or 5 in Boone.

The North Carolina school announced earlier this week that a physical therapy student who lived off-campus died from COVID-19.
