Johnson City Seeking Public Comment On Extension To 2020 Comprehensive Plan
Work is in progress to update Johnson City’s Comprehensive Plan, also known as the Bridge Plan. Originally adopted by the city commission in the mid 2000’s, the plan was to serve as a 15 year guide for the city and surrounding areas. The plan is currently being reviewed and will result in an update of the document to provide guidance to decision makers and leaders for an additional five year period. The planning division is proposing the plan to serve as a transition document until data from the 2020 Census can be made available and utilized as the baseline for a new, full scale comprehensive plan. Public input is desired and the planning division staff will hold a public meeting on the topic later this month.
