Police: Duo stole $300 from Fort Henry Mall shop, hit employee in parking lot with getaway SUV

Kingsport police are looking for two robbers who took merchandise from a store in the Fort Henry Mall and struck a store worker in the parking lot with their getaway vehicle.

The crime took place last month when a white male and female stole an estimated $300 in goods from Dunham’s Sports on the mall’s upper level and then ran from the retail outlet to a waiting older model Jeep Cherokee SUV with a white female driver behind the wheel.

Police said a Dunham’s employee approached the vehicle and tried to detain the suspect when the driver accelerated and struck the worker in the parking lot, leaving them with minor injuries.
